ONSEN, JAPAN Represent the tradition of calm.Bathing in an ‘onsen’, a hot water spring-fed bath, is a custom deeply rooted in Japanese culture. In Shintoism, the indigenous religion of Japan, bathing is not only a question of hygiene, but also of purifying. There are around 2,000 onsen in Japan. These thermal water centres are reminders of the refined traditional Japanese way of life.
