Kali is an example of the millions of people from India’s rural areas who emigrates to big cities looking for work and a new life.

The rickshaw pullers in Calcutta endure very strenuous living conditions. But for Kali Yadav, this backbreaking occupation allows him to escape from something far worse: the poverty of joblessness and the lack of opportunities in his homeland, the poor province of Bihar.
